The ‘Stories on Stage’ competition was held on May 10th, 2019. Our scriptwriters, Fathima (S1D), Sabrina (S3A), Matthew (S3A) and Aston (S3A) worked together on adapting Romesh Gunesekera’s short story – Carapace. There were several sessions involving brainstorming ideas, storyboarding and finally, scriptwriting. The scriptwriters chose women’s empowerment as the main theme of their adapted version. The script then came alive on stage through the brilliant performances rendered by Gilemmson (S4B), CJ (S4B) and Sabrina (S3A) which won them The People’s Choice award (3rd place) and the 3rd place overall.
