Communicative Task-Based Learning in P2

Take a look at our P2 learners enjoying a task-based communicative phonics activity! The purpose of the activity was to consolidate students’ learning of the ‘ch’ sound form Ho Yu’s very own tailor made school-based phonics programme, SOUNDS FUN!


Learners were given three minutes to memorise 11 ch’ words. The words were then hidden and group-mates were given a further three minutes to write down as many of the words as they could (spelled correctly, of course!)


The winning group managed to remember nine of the words and spelled eight of them correctly. Students not only had fun learning the words but also learned the value of collaborative teamwork. And the winners won pencils!
