認識紡織歷史及活化建築
早前,中四級同學走進南豐紗廠,認識其歷史。他們從中了解香港紡織工業由60年代開始的黃金時代,如何承傳並帶領本地應用創意及創新產業邁進新里程。
同學透過親身考察南豐紗廠活化後的用途及特色,探討今天成為本地文化旅遊景點的原因。對於同學來說,親身了解昔日紡紗的過程和紡紗工人的工作環境,是一件新鮮有趣的體會,印象深刻。
Into the Mills
Exploring the History of Textiles and the Revitalised Building
Earlier, our S4 students visited the Mills to discover its history. They explored the manufacturing heyday in the 1960s, and how it carried on that legacy with a future of applied creativity and innovation.
Exploring the purposes and features of the revitalised Mills, students discussed the reasons of its transformation into an attraction of local culture. It was an impressive, brand-new experience for students to discover the spinning process and the working environment of textile workers in the old days.
積極規劃未來掌握資訊覓理想
可譽同學參加「教育及職業博覽」
中四及中五兩級同學到香港會議展覽中心參與由香港貿易發展局主辦的「教育及職業博覽」,了解各式各樣的升學和就業資訊。
在博覽的「升學區」,同學深入了解大學及大專課程的入學要求、學習生活情況,以便及早規劃未來,為將來發展作好準備。
在「職業區」,同學了解行業性質,探索就業出路,同學親身了解各行業的入職要求、前景、行業文化及最新發展方向,為自己做好生涯規劃。 中四及中五級同學在「教育及職業博覽」表現積極,他們耐心聆聽資訊,期望好好規劃人生,為自己的選擇負責任。
Planning the Future with Handy Information
Education & Careers Expo
Aiming to grasp comprehensive information on education and job opportunities, our S4 and S5 students participated in the Education & Careers Expo organised by the HKTDC at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
In the “Education Zone”, students had an in-depth understanding of the admission requirements and university life of tertiary education in order to plan their future path and get ready for it.
In the “Career Zone”, students learnt about the nature, entry requirements, prospects, cultures and the latest development of different industries for a better career planning. S4 and S5 students actively engaged in the information session in the hope of planning their future prudently and take responsibility for their own choices.
高中視藝科同學外出參觀展覽
提升藝術素養
本校高中視藝科同學早前參觀「草間彌生:一九四五年至今」的大型藝術展覽。是次展覽是草間在日本以外的亞洲地區舉行的最大回顧展,展出逾200件展品,涵蓋繪畫、素描、雕塑、裝置及檔案資料等各種媒材。
是次回顧展按時序及主題出發,由第二次世界大戰尾聲創作的繪畫至其最近期的沉浸式作品,圍繞「無限」、「積累」、「全面連結」、「生物宇宙」、「死亡」和「生命的力量」六個主題,全面地呈現草間藝術生涯的各個發展階段。
同學十分享受是次參觀,增廣見聞之餘,也提升個人藝術素養及水平。
Art Cultivation for Senior Secondary VA Students -
Visiting an Art Exhibition
Our Senior Secondary VA students visited a large-scale art exhibition named “Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now”. This exhibition is the largest retrospective of the artist in Asia outside Japan, featuring more than 200 works, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations, and archival material.
This exhibition surveys Kusama’s career from the earliest drawings she made as a teenager during World War II to her most recent immersive art pieces. Organised chronologically and thematically, the retrospective guides visitors through Kusama’s career-long creative pouring divided into major themes: Infinity, Accumulation, Radical Connectivity, Biocosmic, Death, and Force of Life.
Our students enjoyed this exhibition very much as it not only broadens their horizons, but also cultivates their artistic sense and artistry.

可譽中文科、普通話科、常識科及非華語學生支援組於2月7日的全方位學習節中,與孩子一起慶祝元宵節。孩子透過當天的多元活動,如進行升天原理小實驗、猜燈謎、摺天燈及學習與元宵節有關的唐詩及天燈的歷史來由等,體會到中國元宵節的文化同時,亦明白到傳統習俗背後的科學原理,實在是一個大好的學習機會,難怪他們都樂在其中呢!
During the Life-wide Learning Activities section on 7th February, 2023, our Chinese Language, Putonghua Language, General Studies and Non-native Speaker Support teams celebrated the Lantern Festival with Ho Yu students. Through the diversity learning activities on that day, such as experiment on Archimedes’ Principle, Lantern riddles, paper-folding of sky lantern, as well as to learn Tang poetry related to Lantern Festival and the history of sky lanterns, not only can students experience the culture of Lantern Festival, they can also learn the scientific principles behind those traditional customs. Students can learn a lot while having great fun.
